Trenton resident Victoria Hebda, a University of Michigan-Dearborn junior who runs for the school’s cross country team, recently was named to the 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Team.

The 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes outstanding student-athletes in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The honor is the second in two years for Hebda, who has been a leader on the Wolverine team since debuting for UM-Dearborn in 2017. The 2017 Trenton High School graduate is a member of the WHAC All-Academic Team and was named a WHAC Runner of the Week in 2018.

Hebda will move on to the CoSIDA Academic All-American voting. The results were expected to be announced late last month.
